Installation

GL AXT1800 Setup begins with installation of the hardware device. To install the slate device you need to follow the below mentioned steps:

• First of all you need a power cable you get along with the device.
• Connect the power cable with the slate device.
• Next connect the cable to the adapter and plug it in the electric outlet.
• Turn on the power of the device and wait till the LED gets stable.
• Thereafter you need a client device such as a computer laptop or smartphone.
• Use a ethernet cable to connect the computer or laptop with slate’s network
• Also you can establish a connection by accessing the Wi-Fi settings. Search for the slate’s network default SSID and enter the password to connect with it. Default password for connection is goodlife.
• When your device is connected to the network you can proceed with the set up.

Web Setup

• Initiate web based GL AXT1800 Setup by opening a web browser of your choice.
• You can use either Google Chrome, Internet explorer or any other similar browser.
• Go to the URL bar, mention the default IP in it and hit the enter button of your keyboard.
• Afterwards you need to select the language from the appeared window.
• Proceed with the setup by creating a security key for your admin account.
• Thereafter you need to go to the settings and click on the internet tab.
• Next you need to select the way with which you desire to connect the device with the internet.
• Once selected follow the on screen from and complete the GL AXT1800 Setup by clicking on the apply option.

App Setup

App base set up is very easy to proceed with. Through this method you can configure and manage your slate device with the help of your smartphone. Step to proceed with this method are as mentioned:

• First of all you need a smartphone in which you have to download the Glinet App.
• The app is available on both Google Play Store for Android users and on App Store for iOS operating system users.
• Open the store and search for the glinet app.
• Thereafter you need to click on install option to let the app installed on your device.
• Once the application is downloaded you can proceed with the setup.
• Launch the app and choose the language to proceed.
• Next you need to create a strong security key for your admin account.
• Admin account security is must as it will protect your network from any unauthorised access.
• After creating the password you need to move ahead in the GL AXT1800 Setup process.
• Go to the settings and look for the option named as internet.
• When you find the option hit on it and another window will appear on the screen.
• Here you will see four options with which you can connect your device to the internet.
• Choose the option you desire to proceed with.<
• Follow the on screen from and finish the setup by click on apply option.
• Also don’t forget to change the default SSID of your network and its password.
• This step is mandatory to protect your network from unauthorized access as if you remain it unhanged then any person who has the knowledge of the default details can access your network.
