As you unbox the GL B3000 for the first time, you’ll receive following components:
- First and foremost is the GL B3000 router.
- A power adapter
- An ethernet cable
- A photo frame
- Next, a converter based on your shipping address
- Wall mount with Adhesive pad and screws.
- Additionally, a router stand
- Most important, a quick user guide
- Lastly, inside the box you’ll find a thankyou card and a warranty card.
Make sure before you begin with the GL B3000 setup, none of these components are missing as they are extremely important for a successful setup. Apart from them, users need a smart device, access to an electrical socket and a properly working modem.
Placing GL B3000 Strategically !
Due to its unique style you have multiple options of placing the router. You can either mount it on a wall as a wall painting. Further, you can keep it on a shelf as a photo frame. Additionally, you can use the provided stand for keeping it vertically. But be mindful of the area where you are placing the router as it can affect the overall GL B3000 setup. Firstly, do not place it between thick walls be it of concrete or of glass. Next, avoid the placement of GL B 3000 nearby electronic and metal objects. Keeping the Marble in an open space, in the central location and well-ventilated area is the perfect idea. It is necessary for the signals to travel freely, so users can experience seamless connectivity throughout the abode.
Installation Guide
The GL B3000 setup is quick, simple and easy to perform. For an app based setup, one just needs to download the GL.iNet app and follow the app instructions. For web based setup method these are the steps that one needs to follow:
- Firstly, place the Marble as per your strategy. Now take the power adapter, slip its power pin into the power port of the router. Plug in the power adapter into an electrical socket and turn it on.
- Secondly, pick your chosen smart device and connect it to the Marble. There are two options for it:
- Turn on wifi, from the available networks select the GL B3000 network name and fill the password to connect. The default details are written on the product label.
- Otherwise use the Ethernet cable. Slip in one end of it into your smart device’s ethernet port and slip in the other end into the LAN port of GL B3000 setup.
- After the device connects, open any internet browser, head towards the URL bar, in it type http://192.168.8.1 and push Enter.
- Now select the language, hit Next. Fill up the admin password, confirm it and hit Apply.
- Finally, you get access to the web admin panel. Select the internet connection method from the available list and follow the directions to complete the GL B3000 setup.
