Configuring GL X750 Router With Easy Steps

With the GL X750 setup, users can enjoy internet connectivity anywhere in the world. As it is a travel friendly compact router which is popularly known by the name of Spitz. Coming to its specifications, it is a dual band router. It consists of one 2.4GHz band that offers the speeds of upto 300 Mbps. Whereas on the 5GHz band users get to enjoy high speeds of upto 433 Mbps. 

Moving further, the GL X750 setup consists of a built-in Micro SD card port. With this users can extend the storage upto 128Gb. Additionally, the OpenVPN and WireGuard act as a security shield for your network. Therefore, users can safely browse anything, anywhere without any hesitation. 

Pre-requisites For A Successful GL X750 Setup

For completing the GL X750 setup, users need following components:

  • Firstly, the GL X750 router.
  • A power adapter for turning the Spitz.
  • A smart gadget like smartphone, laptop, computer or an iPad for initiating the setup. 
  • Thereafter, an Ethernet Cable for connecting the smart gadget to the Spitz. 
  • Lastly, a user manual as it contains important information like password, IP address and much more. 

Before initiating the GL X750 setup steps, it’s important to take an overview of the hardware. 

Top Panel: 

Starting from the top panel there are smart LED light indicators. Through them users can easily identify the exact working condition of the Spitz. It consists of Power LED, WAN LED, 5G wifi, 2G wifi and LTE LED as well. 

Back Panel:

Moving to the back panel, usees get a reset button. Through this you can bring back the Spitz to its original settings. Beside it there is a WAN Ethernet port and a LAN ethernet port. At last, there is a power port for turning on GL X750 setup. 

Side Panel

On the side panel of the Spitz, there is a USB 3.0 port for easy file sharing. Whereas the Micro Sim card slot and a TF card slot is present below the router. Additionally, there are two external antennas for wider coverage. 

Setting Up GL X750 Router

The GL X750 setup is not time consuming rather it is extremely simple and straightforward. 

1. Start the process by powering on the Spitz. To power on, fetch the power adapter. Now before proceeding further, if you want to insert a TF card, then insert it now as hot plugging is not recommended. 

2. Secure the power pin of the adapter with the power port of the Spitz. Thereafter, push the power adapter into an electrical outlet. Power it on. Wait till the power LED brightens up. 

3. Moving further you need to connect the smart gadget with Spitz. For this either use ethernet cable or go with a wireless connection.

.To connect wirelessly, first turn on wifi. A list of available networks appears. From it either select GL X750-XXX-5G or GL X750-XXX. Now input the password which is “goodlife”. 

.For building a secure connection or a stable connection fetch the ethernet cable. Secure its one end into the LAN port of the Spitz. The second end slips into the smart gadget’s ethernet port. 

4. Now, open any internet browser. Head to the URL bar. In it fill http://192.168.8.1. Press Enter. You are now halfway from completing the GL X750 setup. 

5. A page pops up asking the user to select the language. As you pick up one, tap on Next. Thereafter create your own password. Make it unique and strong. After that press Submit. 

6. From the side panel select the Internet option. Finally complete the GL X750 setup by following the screen prompts one by one. You can also manage and control other activities through this web panel.
