GL X750 Setup
GL X750 is a cellular router which is popularly known as Spitz. It is a dual band wireless router widely used by people for smart home setup and IoT areas. Spitz works on OpenWRT OS and offers a combined speed of 733 Mbps wireless speed. ‘GL X750 Setup is user friendly as one can do it by their own smartphone. For setting up spitz you don’t need any technical education. With the complete information of the setup process you can easily configure the spitz device. GL X750 Setup Process
GL X750 (Spitz) device is commonly used all over the world. Setting up the device is super easy and convenient for the new users. With the appropriate knowledge to use spitz, you can configure it and manage the network effectively. GL X750 Setup step by step is mentioned here:
Placement & Power Up Spitz
First step of the GL X750 Setup process is deciding the placement and turning on the device. Adequate placement of the spitz matters a lot for signal coverage. Do not keep your cellular router close to any signal interface such as metal objects, radio frequency devices or in corners (close to thick walls).
Once placement is decided you can turn on the power with the power adapter and power source. Plug in the power adapter in the spitz and power outlet. Turn on the electricity and then turn on the spitz from the power button given on it.
Connect to Spitz Network
Second step of the GL X750 Setup is connection with the spitz network. To initiate the process further you need a client device and connect it with the new device network to access LAN. For the connection move with below specified steps:
- First of all you need to choose a computer or a laptop device to go with a web based setup.
- Also you can use a smartphone device or tablet to configure your Spitz using app setup
- Access the settings of your client device and look for wifi settings.
- Turn on the wifi and run a scan for the available networks.
- On the screen, you will see the list of the networks.
- Choose the Spitz Default SSID from the list which looks like “GLX750_XXXX”
- As you opt for the option, the password field will appear.
- Then enter “Goodlife” in the field and hit on the connect option.
- Let the connection between the device and network complete.
Configure Spitz
Now you can move towards the final step of the setup process which is GL X750 configuration. There are two ways to configure the device web based and app based. You can go ahead with any of the process and complete the configuration.
Web Based GL X750 Setup Method
Web based method require access to the web interface by using a computer or laptop device. You can launch the browser like internet explorer, google chrome or other you have installed in your device.
- Rush to the URL bar of the browser you are using to access the Spitz device admin panel.
- Mention the default IP in the browser to open the interface and then opt for any of the language as per your preference to configure the device.
- Thereafter, create a strong password to secure your new network.
- Next, when you get access to the admin panel, proceed the setup by opening the settings.
- Look for the internet option from the settings and then a further screen will appear.
- Here you need to opt for the mode to connect your spitz to the internet.
- You have four options- ethernet, tethering, cellular, USB.
- After selecting you have to follow the on screen prompts to finish the Spitz Setup.
App Based GL X750 Setup Method
App Based configuration of Spitz device is the same as web based. For app based method you need a smartphone device with android 5.0 or above and iOS 12.0 or later. Connect your smartphone to spitz network as mentioned above and then move ahead with below specified steps:
- Download the Glinet app on your smart device by opening the store as per your operating system.
- Rush to the search bar, mention Glinet and search for it.
- Thereafter, hit on install so the app downloaded on your device.
- Next you have to launch it and initiate the GL X750 setup.
- Now opt for the language you have to move further with.
- Then create a strong yet memorable admin account password.
- Now, access settings and find the internet option.
- Choose the mode with which you desire to connect the device with the internet.
- Once selected the app will guide you with the setup process to move next.
- Complete the configuration of spitz by choosing the Apply option.
