GL XE300 Setup- Requirements
For the GL XE300 Setup, a few items are required. You can initiate the setup only after collecting all the items as listed:
- Puli
- Type-C power adapter
- Ethernet cable
- Nano SIM card (for cellular network)

Power Up Puli
Setting up the puli device from GL iNet begins with powering it up. Powering the device is not a difficult task. You have to place the device and connect it with a C- type power adapter. Also you can use the adapter to charge the battery of the device if you wish to take it out. Turn on the power by connecting the adapter to the power source. Also don’t forget to turn on the power button given on puli.
Connect Puli & Computer/ Laptop
Next step of the GL XE300 Setup process is to connect with the network. Laptop or computer whatever you have you can use to connect with puli. Either go with a wire way which needs ethernet cable or opt for wireless method by accessing wifi settings. Wireless connection will allow you to scan the default SSID of your puli and then establish a connection by entering the default password called Goodlife.
Access Web Interface
Thereafter you have to launch an internet explorer or any other web browser you have in your computer/ laptop. http://192.168.8.1. is the default IP you have to use to access the web interface. Mention the IP in the URL bar and hit on the enter button on your keyboard.
Configure Your Puli
Finally you can initiate GL XE300 Setup by choosing the language. Next, create a strong yet memorable password, a combination of alphanumeric and special character, to keep your admin account secure.
Thereafter connect the device with the internet by accessing the internet option from settings. After hitting on it, you need to choose the way with which you desire to connect the internet with puli. Once opted for the way, complete the configuration by following the screen instructions. Also choose the Apply option in the end to apply the changes. Furthermore, you have to create a strong password for your WiFi network to keep it safe.
GL XE300 Setup- Using Glinet App
Setting up puli using the glinet app is simple & requires a Smartphone/ tablet device with android or IOS system. Download he glinet app Initiate the puli setup by moving further as mentioned:
- First of all, charge your puli device using the C-type power adapter.
- Then turn it on by pressing the power button given on the device.
- Next you need to take the smartphone/ tablet device.
- Access wifi settings and connect it to puli’s network by searching default SSID.
- Use the default password “Goodlife” to connect with puli’s network.
- Once you are connected to puli’s network, launch the glinet app.
- App will guide you with the setup process, you have to perform the steps as guided.
- Select the language first to operate the app and then create a password to secure your admin account.
- Admin account security is must to protect the network from unauthorised access.
- Next you need to move further in the GL XE300 Setup by accessing the admin panel settings.
- Search for the internet option under the settings and then a new window will open on the screen.
- Here you have to select the mode to connect the device to the internet.
- You have four options; cellular, ethernet, tethering & USB.
- Afterwards you need to provide the required information and hit on the “Apply” option.
- Lastly you need to test the new network using a WiFi enabled device.
